Scott Cross is a father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew and loyal friend to many. Scott is described by his friends and family as passionate, funny (wicked sense of a humor), loyal, and he believes in equality for all. Scott became ill in mid December 2018 with flu like symptoms. Due to lack of insurance and a fear of high medical bills he became critically ill. Since January 4, Scott is on life support in the Intensive Care Unit at Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan. Scott is on a ventilator and struggles to communicate. Scott went into septic shock and the cause is thought to be an abscess on his liver causing the infection to spread throughout his body and vital organs. The doctors are also not ruling out the possibility of cancer as well. It will be a long road to recovery for Scott.
