Help my family rebuild their lives

I am Bilal, currently living outside the Gaza Strip. I am raising funds to help my family, especially Ahmad and Abd Arrahman, continue their studies after they were interrupted by the war, and to support them in leaving Gaza once the crossings open, so they can pursue their education and build a better future.

A message from my family:

Due to the relentless Israeli attacks on our city, we were forced to leave everything we owned behind, hoping to survive the horrors surrounding us. Like all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, we continued to be displaced from one place to another as evacuation orders kept reaching every area we fled to.

Despite all the atrocities we witnessed, we held on to the hope that we would return home one day—until the devastating news reached us, and we had to face the harsh reality. Our home was not spared; it was completely destroyed in one of the violent airstrikes that turned our city into ruins.

Today, we have nothing to return to, and no roof to shelter us. We live in tents, trying to endure all forms of suffering: the freezing cold of winter, heavy rains that flood our fragile shelters, the extreme heat and insect bites in summer, along with the lack of hygiene and privacy, shortages of water, food, and medicine, and the complete absence of safety and stability. We are not truly living—we are fighting every day just to survive this harsh reality.

Ahmad and Abd Arrahman had their university education interrupted due to the war and displacement. Like all educational institutions in Gaza, the universities they attended have been completely destroyed by the bombings, and they can no longer continue their education or pursue their dreams within Gaza. Despite their hard work and perseverance, their ambitions and entire lives have been put on hold indefinitely.

When the Rafah crossing finally opened, Ahmad and Abd regained the hope they had once lost—to escape the war and suffering and to continue their education outside Gaza and build a better future for themselves and their family. Unfortunately, it has been closed again, but we hear that it may reopen.

Campaign goal: $15,000 to cover travel and coordination costs.

We are truly in a race against time. With increasing restrictions, the crossing may close again at any moment after reopening, and we are trying to raise the required amount before that happens, or all hope could be lost once more. That is why even the smallest donation can make a difference and help us achieve our long-awaited dream of a dignified life. If donating is difficult or not possible, you can still help by sharing our story so it reaches someone who can contribute.

We do not dream big in the tents. All we wish for is one single chance that can change our destiny and allow us to live a normal life—not just struggle to survive. Yet even this feels out of reach in our current situation, so please do not give up on us.

Be the reason Ahmad and Abd Arrahman can have hope for a brighter future.
