بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa barakatuh brothers and sisters, Subhanallah, knowledge is one of the most vast oceans known to mankind. From the creation of our forefather Adam till today, knowledge has been something that every human has tried to acquire. It is the natural inclination of a human to want to know more and more and this honestly is a blessing from Allah. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever travels a path in search on knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.”Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2699 Allah even assists those who desire to take knowledge and gives them a way to jannah.
We all know and understand that our lives would not be the same without people who are knowledgeable in Deen giving us guidance with the permission of Allah. Imams who speak and remind us of the bounties and blessings of Allah with eloquence. Huffadh and Qurra who transmit the word of Allah in beautiful heart wrenching voices. Teachers of the Arabic language who bring us closer to the words of Allah through understanding. All of these people made great sacrifices so that they could assist our Ummah. Many of us wish to be like them or train our progeny to be like them, however Allah has set a part for every single person on this earth and he is the best of all planners.
As we know, nothing that we consider worthy is free. There are hundreds and thousands of students who leave their homes, towns, cities, and even countries in pursuit of knowledge. Some of them are blessed with the means to do so easily. Others sacrifice everything they have to be able to attain whatever knowledge they can. Being a student of Quran and Arabic language in a foreign country, I understand and went through some of the same struggles as my fellow brothers and sisters. Even though it’s a path that’s never easy, I know that none of us would turn back or give up on it.
My name is Mika-il Saddique, I have been blessed to study the language of Quran in a country that has preserved it so well. Alhamdulilah by Allah’s grace I have reached so close to finishing this wonderful program. It was not easy to leave home,family and go across the world to a land in which a language I knew nothing about is spoken. The sacrifice is very much worth it because as the days progress my connection and understanding of the words of Allah increase. Upon completion of my program I will return to the states to pursue my Islamic degree as well as give back to my community by starting Arabic language programs. I started this fundraiser to get help finishing my final 3 months in this program.
I am reaching out to my brother,sisters, community members, and supporting figures to assist me in my journey.As I mentioned, we all wish that we could go and learn a verse of Quran or memorize a hadeeth, however, some of us have reached stages in our life where that isn’t as easy as it was before. Who said you can’t still gain those blessings? By supporting students of knowledge you are rewarded for every letter that they memorize or learn and teach or act upon on.
For those who don’t know personally know me here are a few of things I have been blessed to accomplish:
Memorization of the holy Quran
Intensive studies of tajweed ( tuhfat al atfal and jazariyyah)
Studies of some of the qiraat (Hafs and shu’bah an Asim, Warsh and Qaloon an Nafi’)
May Allah bless us all with knowledge that benefits us and protects us from the fire of hell. Ameen
