Help Sami’s Recovery
Donation protected
Sami Thomas is a 17 year old high school student who was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident on January 8, 2019. From the site of the car accident she was airlifted to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital emergency room, where she was assessed for injuries. She is now residing in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and her condition is still being assessed. We know at the moment that she has a broken pelvis, several broken ribs, fractures in her upper vertebrae/skull damage, damage to her lung and airway & a severe traumatic brain injury with damage to several areas of her brain, including the cranial nerve that controls her right eye.
The recovery process will be long, tedious and costly, and we are looking for help to support Sami & her family throughout that process. Sami is a student at Fort Zumwalt North Highschool. Her hobbies include art, writing & weight lifting. She was on her way back from a workout at Planet Fitness early in the morning on January 8th when the car accident occurred—details are still being looked at.
Sami is an incredibly cheerful, funny and intelligent teenager with many friends. Please help us to keep her spirit bright as she recovers from this incident.
