Moms Medical & Funeral Bills

PLEASE READ!!! I know its long, and a lot of you don't personally know me, but i just want to help, she means the world to us..

This all started about 15 days before christmas 2013, My mom woke up and was having trouble catching her breath, and breathing. we took her to the hospital and they did all the test and chest xrays, she had pneumonia but also in the xray they found something irregular in her lungs. when Drs looked more into it we found out she has stage 4 lung cancer, with 3 separate tumers in her lungs. they started chemo right away in the hospital, and her spirits were excellent for the news she was just given and the chemicals that had to be pumped through her body. The day before christmas Drs released her to go home, we were all so excited to have her home for christmas, and it was a great christmas to have her with us, but we don't want it to be the last. A couple of days after christmas I went downstairs and she attempted to try and talk to me and what she was saying didn't make any sense, i started getting nervous and went upstairs to get my sister to show her how mom was acting, then we called dad, and said it might just be the medications she was on. so i had her lay down and try and take a nap, after she woke up she seemed better, she wasn't repeating herself and not making sense anymore. But the next day it all started again so my dad took her to cancer Dr and she said take her straight to hospital. So he took her, within a couple hours they found she was having a stroke, she had a big clot on left side of her brain which affects your speech and movement of right side of your body, and a smaller one on right side, but also saw she was bleeding on the brain but it had stopped, so they didn't want to give her a blood thinner because they thought it might start the bleeding again. Now what you need to know is that majority of the time you get chemo Dr will prescribe a blood thinner cause chemo thickens the blood, but the original hospital we took her to, had her on blood thinners when they were doing the chemo in the hospital, but when they sent her home they prescribed all the meds she needed EXCEPT a blood thinner! So we feel the hospital could be responsible for her current state. so the second hospital we took her to that found the clots, started her on a blood thinner to try and get the clot pushed out, but that there was a lot of damage done to her brain, and said it didn't look good. After being in the hospital for so long and not getting better but not getting worse they basically pushed her out the door, and sent her to rehab/hospice care facility. My father has a decent job with decent healthcare, but being in the rehab and not making progress nor being a couple days from death, insurance company said they weren't paying for her stay there anymore and said she was going to be sent home, and at $300/day, we cannot afford to pay out of pocket. Not being able to walk, barely feed herself, needing help going to bathroom and grooming herself, how can you just push someone out the door in that kind of state? My father, sister and I all work full time, to keep our heads above water, each of us support ourselves and now with my father down an income we all try to pitch in and help out. With her home and needing home help with everything, but all of us at work, she needs to be in a place with 24hr care. But with the medical bills piling up, we could use all the help we can get, I'm not here to ask for money, but we do need help, i know times are tough for everyone, my father didn't even want us to set this up, he is a very proud man and i love him so much for it, but me and my sister decided to do it any way. My sister and I would love to be able to say to him, we raised this much to pay her bills/hospice. Anyone that is able to help, a $1-$1,000 we cant say thank you enough, you have no idea how much we appreciate it, my mother has done so much for us through the years we just want to try and give it back and make her as comfortable as possible, with the best care. We Love You Mom xoxo anything for you <3
