Get baby Ada to Boston for treatment
Donation protected
Baby Ada came into this world on December 6 at just 3 lbs, 7 oz. The pregnancy was high risk and a difficult one for her mom, Erika, and Ada was born premature at only 34 weeks. The doctors knew that she would have to be in the NICU for a significant amount of time before she could thrive on her own and it’s been touch and go from the beginning. She started hitting some of those mini milestones and it seemed that things were looking up for Ada, until her health quickly began to decline. She has now been diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disease called Lissencephaly. The long list of ailments that come with this disease is daunting. From seizures to mental retardation and everything in between. The doctors currently treating Ada have very, VERY little experience with this disease and so Ada’s parents, Erika and Brad, are doing everything they can to get Ada to see specialists at the Boston Children’s Hospital in Massachusetts. The medical and travel costs for this trip will no doubt be expensive plus the cost of ongoing therapy and possible medical devices needed for Ada’s disability. Any donation, big or small, is so greatly appreciated. Because of the nature of this disease time is not on our side and we need to act fast to get treatment as soon as possible. As a family, we are NOT giving up hope for Ada and we are fighting and praying for her complete health and restoration.
