Please help Alisha Limbu fight Ovarian Cancer

If only life were predictable, everyone could plan for the "not-so-good" days and create a safety bubble around them. Alas, life struck the most brutal blow to our young and cheerful Alisha at just 23!

Alisha has been diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian cancer. She is currently admitted to Epworth hospital, Box hill, Melbourne and is starting chemotherapy on 24th February 2023. She has sustained a major surgery where the doctors removed a massive 7-kilo tumour, one ovary, appendix, fallopian tube and the inner lining of her stomach. She may have to undergo another surgery as the cancer has already spread to her pelvic region, however, before that, she needs multiple chemotherapy cycles and expensive medicines to recover.

This young girl may look timid and tender, but apart from continuing to support herself, her fragile shoulders have been supporting her family in Darjeeling, India.

As an international student in Melbourne, she has been working multiple odd jobs to sustain herself here, and also her family back home. She supports her brother's living expenses, and her father, who is on his road to recovery after suffering multiple brain strokes last year. Alisha is the only strength her mother, a homemaker, her father and brother look up to keep the family moving. Under such circumstances, being diagnosed with Cancer has been physically and mentally debilitating for her.

So we would like to call upon all our kind friends, families, community members and well-wishers to extend your help and support to Alisha in her fight against Cancer and the adversities of life.

Although her medical insurance has covered the cost of her surgery, Alisha still has other expenses that the insurance does not cover, like medications, CT scans, blood tests, and partial chemotherapy sessions. In addition to this, the doctor has advised her to take rest for the next ten months, during which she isn't able to make any earnings. This is why we have come together to help her in her time of need and raise funds for Alisha's medical treatments and living expenses for the next ten months.
