Soccer Dreams of a kid with more talent than money

Hi, my name is Sabrina, and I am the mom of an extremely hardworking, dedicated, passionate, 12 year old soccer player. For the past year, he has been doing anything and everything he can think of to raise his own money for training. It has been inspiring to watch. Unfortunately, youth sports just are not affordable for financially struggling families. He has put in so much effort that he has qualified for an Academy team and the Olympic Development Program. However, the costs now far exceeds what he (we) are able to absorb. I know there are gofundme pages that are literally life and death situations, and I hope our request doesn’t seem petty by comparison. We are just a mom and son needing help to further a dream. The amount we have requested would allow him to cover travel expenses for the 2023-2024 season, but any additional funds would help him continue his journey.
