My family has endured two devestating tragedies in just 10 days. On Thursday March 10th my dad Jim passed away at the age of 76. What started as two massive heart attacks in March of 1989 turned into a 27 year battle with heart issues. This alone was enough to rock my family to the core.
On the day my dad passed my cousin Lee suffered a brain anuerysm. My cousin had lived with my parents and helped care for my father. He was admitted to Keck Medicine Center at USC on Sunday the 13th. He endured 6 cranial procedures over the next 60 hours to stabilize him and help him recover. Unfortunately all of the doctors and nurses amazing work wasn't enough. My cousin passed away on Saturday March 19th at the age of 60. A life gone far too soon.
These two losses have left my mom and I with the process of laying them to rest and finding normalcy in our lives without two of the most important people in it.
Many of you have asked how you can help? I have created this page as a way to help mom and I deal with the financial issues that these two losses have created. My dad's plans were about 60% taken care of and my cousin had not yet started to plan his. with just my mom and I to work out these details it has been a little overwhelming.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. From my mother (Nancy), myself, and my two daughters (Alyssa and Lindsay) we thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers we have received, they are much appreciated during this difficult time.
