Diana's Bacterial Meningitis Fight
Donation protected
In February, my beautiful niece, Diana was born! What should have been a time filled with joy and lots of snuggles very quickly turned life-threatening. Diana was transported to the NICU and began the fight of her life at 3 days old. Diana was diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis. This infection is rare, the odds of this diagnosis are greater than 1 in 100,000.
Meningitis is an infection of the meninges, the membranes that protect and cover the spinal cord and brain. Diana's neonatal team described this situation as a very rare infection that has caused rare complications. Diana has needed tests and medical interventions to address the severe complications in her lungs and brain. Right now, we are hoping Diana will not need brain surgery.
As we know, medical bills can become insurmountable. I am creating this site for Justin and Crystal to hopefully be able to ease a little of their stress. Their focus is on Diana (and Grace). They should not need to fear the financial burden as their daughter fights for her life.
Feeling helpless when those we love are going through the worst things imaginable is so hard. This is one tangible thing we can do to help. Thank you for loving and supporting Justin, Crystal, Grace and sweet baby Diana.
