For those who have followed Marvin’s story since the beginning you know our rescue pit-bull, Marvin has been through hell and back but has always continued to love unconditionally. A few years back, my dad rescued Marvin from a house in Trenton, New Jersey. He was just skin and bones and wasn’t expected to make it. We’re not entirely sure what Marvin went through but had a corn Cobb stuck in his intestines. Marvin underwent surgery and intensive care for about a week. Marvin made it. We watched as he became a thick and happy puppy and was given the life he always deserved. The expenses were very high but my family made it work. But now, a few years later Marvin is experiencing liver and kidney failure. He is now at Cares animal hospital in Langhorne, Pennsylvania fighting for his life once again. His original diagnosis they thought was Leptospirosis, a bacteria infection which if treated in time is curable but can cause death. Marvin has not been responding to antibiotics so they want to move him to New York City or Washington D.C. for dialysis to try and restart his kidney which may be his only option. This dialysis is not cheap and may range from 10-15 thousand dollars. My family needs some help. Anything helps, even if it’s 5$. Marvin has been through far too much for this to take him out!
