Brittany Bridge-Rodriguez

Brittany started with stomach cramps in May of 2018 and went to the Dr. Brittany was told it was probably a bacterial infection and was treated with a hydration IV. The pains came back in July and I went to a gastrointestinal Dr. to which we talked about Chrone's disease, diverticulitis, and other possibilities. I was told that the only true way to know was through a CT scan and colonoscopy. Brittany finally made an appointment for the colonoscopy December 20th 2018 and instead of confirming diverticulitis the Dr. told her and her husband that there was a mass in her colon that was blocking her colon. They rushed a CT scan Friday morning and met with the surgeon Friday night. She was told that there were 4 small spots on her liver that needed to also be checked. Surgery was scheduled for the following Saturday morning (December 29th) and chemotherapy would start shortly after that. What a shock that all of this was happening with no time to process.
