Lisa (Buck) Krumpe's Cancer Journey

My name is MaryBeth, dear friend of Lisa (Buck) Krumpe.  Lisa is a 48 year old mom of 3 and grandma of Greyson, an adorable 9 month old baby.  In April of 2011 Lisa was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and she had a lumpectomy, followed by chemo and then radiation.  The next year she opted for a bilateral mastectomy.  She thought she was in the clear but in October of 2014 , she felt a lump in her armpit area and that's when her world came crashing down!  She was then diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, it had spread into her lymph nodes.  Since October of 2014 Lisa has not been able to work.  She went through months of intensive chemotherapy and then weeks of radiation.  The treatments depleted her body of all of her energy and left her very weak.  She thought treatments were going well until October of 2015 when it "was back".  Stage 4 again, metastasized to the liver.  Lisa is now going to the Cancer Centers of America in Philadelphia because she was not satisfied with the treatment she was getting here.  She is traveling to and from Philadelphia weekly to to through intensive chemo again.  The mass in her liver has doubled in size and now there are cancerous lymph nodes in her chest.

As you can imagine she is emotionally, physically and financially drained.  There are so many expenses that unless you have been through a medical crisis, you overlook.  In addition, she hasn't been able to work in 18 months.  Every donation will ease the financial burden for her and her family and hopefully ease the stress they are enduring during this very hard time.
