We are heartbroken by the sudden loss of Eric Hill, who was tragically killed when he was struck from behind by an automobile while riding his bicycle. Eric was 49 years old. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kelly Anderson Hill, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years, and their eight children, ages 5 to 24.
As Kelly and the children face this unimaginable loss, we are reaching out to friends, family, and the wider community to help ease the burden of funeral expenses and provide support for their ongoing needs. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as they navigate the difficult days ahead.
Eric loved his work as a scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he dedicated more than 20 years of service. At the time of his passing, he was serving as Bishop of the Grandridge Ward in the Richland South Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his Savior and shared his testimony with all who knew him, both in word and by example.
Eric also loved racing cars, cycling through Eastern Washington, listening to music, dancing with his children, and learning something new every day.
Eric’s kindness and unwavering love for his family and community touched countless lives. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
