Andrew's Double Hip Replacements

Hi, guys! So Sally and I just found out that I'm going to need both of my hips replaced this year because I have severe Osteoarthritis in my hips. Thanks to that I have no cartilage to cushion my hip joints, multiple cysts, and bone spurs. Not super fun. :(

I've been dealing with this pain for the last couple of years as it has gotten progressively worse to the point where simple tasks like putting on pants, socks, and shoes, standing up, walking, and bending over have at times been excruciating. Activities I used to love like hiking, zumba, and even playing drum set are a thing of the past. When he saw my x-rays, the Dr. asked me, flabbergasted, "How are you still walking?!?" I've been attempting to remedy it through chiropractic appointments, stretching, short walks, and so much more, but it's progressed to the point where the only option is replacement for both hips. It's supposed to be a smooth and very effective procedure that should give me my life back and allow me be myself again!

But, sadly, as we all know, healthcare is astonishingly expensive nowadays. The average price for one hip replacement surgery ranges between $31,839 and $44,816, with an average cost of $39,299. Even with insurance it'll be almost impossible for us to afford one surgery - much less two. So as embarrassed as I am to ask for help from our friends and family, we honestly don't have many other options.
