My name is Carlos Torres; currently residing in Phoenix, AZ. Last week, our family received devastating news regarding my wife’s younger sibling, Edwin Montiel. Edwin was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.

 

I am creating this gofundme campaign on behalf of Edwin.

 

Edwin, a single loving parent at just 31 years old, will begin fighting the hardest and longest battle of his life. Edwin is no stranger to adversity. At just eight years old, Edwin lost both of his parents. Although his family helped raise him, Edwin has always been an independent young man. I know he possesses a strong character that will help him face adversity once more.

 

I believe that Edwin will win this battle, but he needs financial support from all the kind humans on this platform.

 

Prior to his diagnosis, Edwin worked two jobs to make ends meet. He held a full-time job as a painter and a part-time job in a restaurant. Although he had two jobs, neither employer provided him with health insurance.

 

The funds from this campaign will be utilized to help pay for his hospital bill, his treatment, medications and any other misc. expenses.

 

We, his family, will help support his daughter, Anaya, and cover his living expenses. In addition, I will personally make the first $1,000 donation to his gofundme campaign.
