Justice for Zeke

If you know John “Zeke” Zastrocky, you know what a hard-working farmer he was his entire life. He’s now 93 years old and has been robbed by his “stepsons” of all his property and money. Zeke went to the hospital for gallbladder surgery in June 2024, and it went badly for him. He had internal fluid, sepsis and was on his deathbed several times, in the hospital and rehab through August. In August 2024, his partner passed away, leaving a Will giving everything to her two sons. Her sons, who claimed Zeke was more of a father than their biological father and loved him like a father, took advantage of their mother’s Will. Zeke always put his assets in his partner of 47 years name. She was 13 years younger and the assumption was that he would pass away first and everything would be in her name to support herself. But it didn’t play out that way. Zeke spoke with the eldest stepson after the death of his mother and they agreed his biological kids were to get $10,000 each of the estate since the stepson now controlled the property and money.
While Zeke was in a hospital bed, fighting for his life, they IMMEDIATELY changed the locks on the door, cleared out all his food, took his belongings out of dressers and piled it in closets and said he wasn’t allowed to live in his own home ever again. Zeke’s children had two days to get his belongings. There was an estate sale for the contents and Zeke received no money from that sale in which most of everything he had paid for. Zeke’s house was sold for $299,000, and he was not given one cent. The two despicable stepsons took every penny for themselves. Zeke’s trailer in the Thousand Islands, worth $30,000-$50,000, which Zeke paid cash for in 1990, was taken by them as well – not one cent was given to Zeke. Zeke never saw one cent of his bank accounts in the ballpark of $250,000. We didn’t think there was a person capable of being this selfish and ruthless to a 93-year-old man but it turns out there are two.
Zeke had no home to go to and with heartbreaking memories and emotions, went to live with his son in Florida to rehab and is there now. He has regained his health to the extent he is able, but is left heartbroken at the abuse from his so-called stepsons who he mistakenly thought he could trust. Zeke’s eldest stepson came to visit and Zeke told him that he needed money, Zeke was told he was supposed to die first!
We needed to get Zeke’s story out there, so people know where he is and how he is doing and also to enlighten the fact that money doesn’t change people, it reveals them. We need to re-do the master bathroom shower to make it a walk-in shower for easy access along with an adjustable bed and lift chair. He also needs a new wardrobe because of excessive weight loss.
Anything you can do to help Zeke enjoy his life is greatly appreciated.
