- My names cherie, earlier this year, well 3 months ago now I had a fitness holiday booked since pre COVID, I flew to Thailand on the 28th august and 12 hours later I was in a bad scooter accident, my breaks failed at 65km and I hit the medium strip and flew onto the other side of the road I am so lucky in that moment there was no on coming traffic or I wouldn’t be here today. I broke my chin had 23 external stitches, plus 6 internal , I was in shorts and bikini top so the skin grazing from sliding on the road was so painful getting the dressings changed daily, they had to stitch my right nipple back on as it has half off, I fractures 2 ribs in the right side of my body and have a commuted fracture in my left shoulder, I have been in a sling for 3 months and have been seeing a specialist surgeon from Sydney shoulder clinic since I got back 9 weeks ago, last Wednesday I found out I need Surgury after my MRI follow up to have my arm / shoulder as good as it can be repaired to get on with my life, I’m passionately about fitness and I am a personal trainer, I not only train for physical appearance but for my mental health and to keep my self on the path I have finally got my self on, I need this Surgury soon as I have the funds, the plan is left shoulder arthroscopic + sunacromial decompression, acromioplasty +biceps tendesis and rotator cuff repair and capsular release, I would appreciate any sort or financial help to put towards the he surgery I need to be able to get on with my life, I run my own business which is my own training studio as i am a personal trainer, I took the plunge and opened 2 years ago, between life, rent, surgeon/ specialist consultants, and then rehab, it’s very costly.. not being able to train all my clients due to my loss of use of my left arm, it’s tough, the holiday I had been dreaming about for 3 year ended up being the holiday I wish never went on. My focus is being able to afford this Surgury, just to get my happiness my physical health back, my ability to do what I love and being able to train, something that you take for granted until something happens and you than will never take the small things for granted again, life throws curve balls but the tough times make you stronger when you get through them, I hope from the goodness of everyone’s hearts you will help me get trough this injury and on the road to recovery. Thank you in advanced and I’m so glad I have the love and support of amazing parents and some great friends and clients that have become a blessing to have in my life, I may have had the worst year for injuries as I have broken 8 bones since February, but I must have had someone looking over me, because in still here. Now the next challenge is to get my shoulder to the best it can physically be.
