One of our beloved Hilltop families, the Simpkins family, is facing an incredibly difficult journey. Ryan Simpkins — a devoted father to Liam and a loving husband — has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and will be undergoing treatment.
On January 7, 2026, Ryan was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer: stage 4 metastatic non-small cell lung cancer with an incurable BRAF V60E mutation. What initially seemed like nothing more than a persistent cough led to this life-altering diagnosis. Since then, the cancer has been found to have spread to his brain, liver, and stomach.
As a faith-centered school community, we believe in coming together to carry one another’s burdens and to show Christ’s love in practical ways. We are starting this fundraiser to help support the Simpkins family with medical expenses, time away from work, transportation, meals, and daily living needs during this season.
If you feel led to give, any amount is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give financially, we ask that you please pray for Ryan’s healing, for strength and peace for the entire family, and for wisdom for his medical team.
Thank you for being a community that shows up with generosity, compassion, and prayer.
