On Monday, June 20th, the world lost an angel. The life of Amber Kish was tragically cut short, leaving her beautiful daughter Ariana without a mother. Ariana was Amber's whole life. They were best friends, the life of the party, comedians, entertainers, and utterly inseparable from each other. Amber was a strong single mother for Ariana, who has blossomed into the most adorable and bright little girl this world has ever seen. She is a 6-year-old mature beyond her age and is always noted to be very intelligent.
The funds raised will be going to Ariana's future. She is a highly talented dancer that attends Kelsey's Dance school. Ari's passion for dance is so powerful that during waking moments, it consumes her. She loves creating dance routines to her favorite songs and then challenges friends and relatives to dance battles. The money from this fundraiser will help Ari with dance school, costumes, and, hopefully, if we can raise enough, it can go to her future education.
Amber was a breast cancer survivor, a graduate of Penn Hills High School, a member of the swim team, and captain of the Majorettes. She enjoyed attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. In addition, Amber was a former employee of UPMC. Through her short but very impactful life she has touched every person she came in contact with. It was impossible not to fall in love with her positive spirit and infectious laugh. She always put others first and was there to help whenever the need arose to lift one's spirit. Amber regarded time as the most valuable asset and always made time for everyone around her. Sadly, she was only given 33 years to share with us, but she left Ariana as her last gift for the rest of us to love and support. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
UPMC was unwilling to accommodate the necessary time off that Amber needed to recover from breast cancer and reconstructive surgery, so they decided to terminate her employment. In the end, Amber was left with no medical coverage and ultimately no life insurance policy leaving nothing behind for Ariana. This is one of the main reasons we are trying to secure some type of financial future for her daughter.
