My brother’s life changed in seconds because of a repeat drunk driver. He was violently ejected from the vehicle and suffered devastating injuries, including a shattered pelvis and multiple severe injuries that required extensive surgeries. At one point, doctors weren’t even sure if he was going to survive.

Instead of spending his senior year making memories and preparing for graduation, he has been fighting through surgeries, hospital stays, pain, and a long recovery process. Because of this crash, he was unable to attend and walk at his high school graduation — a moment he worked so hard for and deserved to experience.

The driver responsible has prior DUI offenses, making this tragedy even more heartbreaking and frustrating for our family. We are fighting not only for my brother’s recovery, but also to bring awareness and justice to the devastating consequences of drunk driving.

We are raising money to help support:

• Medical expenses and ongoing recovery costs

• Rehabilitation and physical therapy

• Transportation and daily living expenses during healing

• A graduation celebration for him so he can still have the special moment that was taken away
