Update 10/20:

Just wanted to fill everyone in on the latest

update on Baby Kane. Poor kid cannot catch a break. Everytime he makes great improvement he then has to go backwards. Early this morning he had to be rushed down to Iowa City for a swollen abdomen. He did end up having to have emergency surgery to repair a small hole

in his intestine. Everything went well and he is doing better. With this set back we need more prayers. Please continue to donate and pray for this new family. With having to be off work longer than expected they still

need help with bills, food and gas. Thanks for everything you all have done so far.

Update 10/13:

I have added a few pictures of Kane. He had a really good night last night which is amazing for the first 24 hours. He is obviously still critical but stable for now.

Update:

We lost baby A this morning. Baby B is in critical condition but doing as good as he possibly can. Mom had a pretty fast emergency C-Section and js doing really well. She is just about ready to go see Baby B , she will be able to touch him but not hold him just yet. Please keep us all in your prayers. Oh and they named him Kane Kaidan Craig Burens. Also want to thank everyone for the kind donations. We will eventually plan a funeral for Baby A. So some of the donations will also go towards funeral cost.

My name is Kristy Spore. My daughter and her fiancé are currently pregnant with twin boys. She is 25 weeks and four days into the pregnancy. They are having monochorionic twins, which means both babies are sharing a placenta and one is getting more nutrients than the other, which is making them very, very small. As of yesterday, she has been admitted to the hospital in Cedar Rapids for preeclampsia and bad blood flow to each baby. All we know right now is Baby A is extremely small and if we deliver now, he has a 30% chance of survival. Baby B is a little over a pound and has an 50% chance of survival. The babies are getting steroids and magnesium sulfate to try and help. She will be here until delivery and hopefully she can keep them in until 32 weeks. The next 48 hours are very critical as that will determine if she delivers early. With this will come a very significant amount of financial difficulty with travel and household bills. So, I am reaching out for any help that can be provided to help get them through. Any amount would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your care and concern.
