Jeremy's Medical and Relief Funds

This is my life lesson...to learn to ask for help when I need it and boy do I need it.  I’m injured, not working, medical bills are piling up and our savings account has taken a HUGE hit.  Most of all I don’t want my kids to think something is wrong. They shouldn’t have to worry about groceries, if the mortgage payment is on time or if the power company is going to cut our electric. They are 3, 4, 8, 19 and 22.

My name is Jeremy Como.  First and foremost, I've always been that guy to run to the rescue, lend a helping hand without asking for anything in return.  I have always wondered what it was like to deplete your savings, run out of short term disability and not know where to turn… well now I do.  I'm at a place where I don't know what else to do, let alone how our next month's bills are going to be covered.  Through life I, like many of you, have had some hardships but have always managed to pull myself out.  This, so far, doesn't look like one of those times.

I ruptured my L4 and L5 discs back in late September of 2016.  I have been at home, off from work since.  Sitting and standing flare my back up so I've been on medication which does not allow me to be able to drive, safety that is.  Short term disability will be running out at the end of March 2017 and I was advised by my TRIA Orthopedic surgeon that it's time for surgery or to just live with the pain. I want a life where I can wrestle with my kids, go fishing with my wife, serve at church, or be able to get out of my house to work and socialize without pain and shaking.  I am, for the first time in my life, going to have surgery on Monday, March 12th.  I am VERY nervous, as this is my first surgery, and am VERY hopeful.

The funds being raised will 100% go towards day to day bills, Mortgage, Utilities, Car/gas, food, medical bills.

We have had a CRAZY 2016 with my wife’s surgeries and my back.  We truly believe that 2017 for the Como's is going to be our year.  Please help, if you can, through prayer, visits, or financially.

I am not trying to come off as begging. If anything, I have had to work on learning how to ask for help. If you are reading this and it moves you or you can relate, please help.  There is no assistance to small.  For all those who have helped us through this, my pledge to you is that as soon as I'm back on my feet I will continue to be that guy that help others.

From the bottom of our hearts, we are humbled and thankful for your love and support.  Thank you.
