This year has been difficult for everyone, however this year in particular has been the most painful year of my life. I watched as my best friend fall so poorly, I watched as she fought so hard.
On the 18th April 2020 by beautiful bestfriend sadly lost her long battle with meningitis. Rio was just 24 years of age, when this horrible illness stole her of her future.
When you think about meningitis, you automatically think about babies and little children and what symptoms to look at for, you dont think adults. This is why I will be doing a sponsored hair cut (having my hair cut is a huge fear of mine) to raise money for Luke Browns meningitis foundation, whose aim is to raise awareness of this horrible illness and support many families who unfortunately have lost someone to meningitis.
This charity has gone out of their way to show unconditional support to Rio's family and friends, to which i will forever be grateful.
So on the 18th of July i will be facing the chop, all monies raised will be donated to this amazing charity and then I will also be donating my hair to cancer research ( princess trust).
Please make what ever donations you could possibly spare, and together we can help raise awareness and support other families who have lost loved ones to meningitis.
