The girls and I have been given the opportunity to move into a bigger newer home where the girls can have their own room and space to spread their wings and grow. After the passing of my latest brother and biggest supporter and unexpected medical issues with my oldest child, the continued care needed and countless appointments at Stanford and UCSF finances have plummeted. As a single mother and college student I go nonstop trying to keep up. We have been selling homemade jam and personal items to try to make up the funds needed but it frankly is not working fast enough or sufficiently. Asking for help is not an easy thing for me, but this is going to be a big expense and I've had so many people tell me that I really should ask and that there is no shame in needing a helping hand. The property owner has already waited a month and half for me to accumulate funds so time is running out. I am so thankful to have someone trust in me and give me so much grace to allow time as they have. Clearly I need help. I will have to move out of our current home of 9 years in 6-8 months per landlord health issues, so losing this opportunity now could be detrimental to our future as the housing crisis is an epidemic.
