My sister, my best friend, an awesome mother, caring friend and dedicated co-worker was given the horrible news that we all couldn't even fathom- that horrible word that begins with the letter "C"- cancer. In the past few weeks she has undergone a painful Bilateral Mastectomy, Port-a-Cath insertion in her chest, and almost daily miscellaneous appointments. Today begins Chemotherapy Day 1- a "Big" chemo with a three drug combination requiring a cocktail of drugs to minimize the side effects from the cancer-killing drug regimen. This is going to be Wendy's schedule and way of life for the next year. This is not going to be a pleasant experience in any way and, even with insurance, is going to be extremely costly. I am asking for donations in any amount so that my sister (who is always worried about everyone but herself) may have a little less to worry about and concentrate on ridding her body of this horrible monster. prayers are also welcome!
