Update 1/11/22…Today we got the results of Abby’s tumor.  It is cancer.  Abby will have to go in for two more surgeries to remove her right ovary, uterus and cervix.  She will have another surgery after to biopsy the remaining organs that the tumor was attached too. We are now waiting to see if a cancer specialist from Gainesville or Jacksonville  will take her on because she doesn’t have insurance and has not been approved for Medicaid. 

 Neither of us have been able to work because of her recovering from the first surgery and my recent heart attack on NYE that I’m currently still in the process of recovering from.

Keep her in your prayers.  She has a long road ahead of her. 

We need a miracle to get through this!

My 20 year old daughter Abby is going into emergency surgery today 12/15/21 to have a 27 centimeter mass removed from her abdomen. To put this into perspective, it’s the size of a small watermelon. It’s attached to her left ovary, and has pushed all of her organs up into her rib cage and into her back.

They are going to have to cut her down the center of the abdomen in order to remove the mass and her left ovary with out rupturing it. Once they biopsy the mass to determine if it’s cancer or not, she may have to have a second surgery to remove lymph nodes. After surgery she will be in the hospital for three days minimum, then several weeks of full recovery.

We do not have medical insurance to cover this. Both of us will be out of work for the next month, for her care and recovery.
