For Once an Angel Could Use Your Help
Hello friends, I wish I didn’t have to write these words, but such is life. One of my oldest and dearest friends, Angel Rodriguez, is in the middle of one hell of a fight. A few months ago, Angel started developing serious abdominal pain. This happened only weeks after starting his new job. The pain intensified to the point where this thirty-six-year-old man couldn’t even get out of bed. After several painful tests, and weeks of agonizing anxiety, the diagnosis came back.
My best friend has Liver Cancer (possibly stage 4 cancer).
The worst part of this story is that after years of trying, Angel and his wife AJ were finally blessed with twins in November of 2019. Angel was barely able to start enjoying his babies before the pain started. Now, he doesn’t have the strength to hold his daughter, Hannah, or play with his son, Isaac. To top off this sad turn of events, Aj discovered she is pregnant with their third child only weeks before the diagnosis. How I wish I was making this up, but when it rains, it pours.
Right now Angel is relying on short-term disability, which does not pay much. The cancer forced him to take a leave of absence. Rather than have Angel struggle with financial woes, as well as fighting to stay alive to meet his unborn child, we decided to reach out for help. Anything, and everything to help this family is greatly appreciated. I’m sure the Rodriguez family is already thankful because you took the time to read this.
