Several weeks ago, our dear sister Jessica received news that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Though this diagnosis came as a shock, Jessica’s heart remains full of peace, joy, and trust in God’s goodness.

“This season has been a blessing, as it reminds me daily that my life is held in God’s hands—there’s no one more trustworthy. With that, there’s nothing to fear and every reason to rejoice.”

Even though Jessica's journey to the nations is momentarily delayed, her obedience to God’s calling remains unwavering. She is trusting God through every step of this medical battle—and looking forward to the day she can continue to the field.

Her Current Condition (as of April 14, 2025):

- MRI showed her left breast is clean, though the two areas of cancer were confirmed in her right breast (further testing was requested for the right side).

- Ultrasound and another biopsy (if needed) is scheduled for 4/16.

- Surgical consultation has been pushed back to 4/28.

Chemotherapy will likely follow to prevent recurrence and surgery will be scheduled soon, either in late April or early May.

How You Can Help

Jessica’s journey will involve:

(3) Ongoing medical care and recovery

(4) Living expenses during recovery

As she focuses on healing and preparing for her next steps in ministry, we want to surround her not just with love and prayer—but with tangible financial support.

Her Current Prayer Requests:

(1) For complete healing and peace through the process.

(2) That these additional tests can be scheduled quickly.

(3) That the side effects of the medication she has started taking will not affect her too much.

(4) That Jessica would continue to praise God for the perfect work He is doing even now, especially in the moments when she may not be able to see it.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

제시카가 열방을 향해 나아가는 여정은 잠시 멈추었지만, 하나님의 부르심에 대한 순종은 흔들림 없이 계속되고 있습니다. 그녀는 이번 의료적인 싸움의 모든 단계마다 하나님을 신뢰하고 있으며, 다시 선교지로 나아갈 날을 기대하고 있습니다.

현재 상황 (2025년 4월 14일 기준):

- MRI 결과, 왼쪽 유방은 깨끗하게 나왔으며, 오른쪽 유방에서는 두 군데의 암 부위가 확인되었습니다 (오른쪽에 대해서는 추가 검사가 요청되었습니다).

- 초음파 검사와 필요한 경우 추가 조직검사가 4월 16일로 예정되어 있습니다.

- 외과 상담 일정은 4월 28일로 연기되었습니다.

여러분이 도울 수 있는 방법:
