Pillowcases for Smiles

Hello! My name is Emily Glynn and I am a part of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation's Young Ambassador Program. The program requires each ambassador to complete one independent service project by May.

For my project I have decided to make pillowcases for sick children at the Ronald McDonald House in Sweden as well as children at New Ground Homeless Shelter on Long Island. I am hosting a Sew-A-Thon on April 23rd to make all the pillowcases but I need your help in order to do that! With your donation I will be able to purchase all the materials needed to execute my project and put a smile on a child’s face! Your generosity will surely help me reach my goal of brightening a child’s day! Health is not just defined as someones physical state but rather their social, mental, and physical health all combined; each causing a chain reaction in the other. If a cheerful pillow case can bring a smile then it might just have a positive effect on that child’s health as a whole.
