The  week before Thanksgiving 2018 I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As many times I have said this to myself and out loud, it still feels surreal, like I am telling someone else’s story.  My oncologist reports that after 6 months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments he anticipates remission.  I had my first treatment on December 6, 2018; treatment will be twice a month. I am hopeful that treatment will be effective and grateful for the wonderful community support I have already received from friends and family. Many have asked how they could help and with the aid of some family and friends, I have figured some of that out. I am so thankful for the gift of so many reaching out; for your prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement. I hope that you understand when I cannot always respond individually. I have already lost some time at work and know there is much more loss to come. With medical challenges, comes financial challenges. I am hopeful with the help of this go fund me page,  the financial challenges will be a bit easier.
