Justin White, A Great Holyoke Kid

Please everyone, Take a few seconds to read the following letter from Holyoke High School Head Football Coach Bob Lastowski. This is a great kid who could really use a little help. If you would prefer to donate by check please send an email to [email redacted] and I'll let you know where to send it. Thanks.

Would You Help?
One of my football seniors, Justin White, has been accepted at Milford Academy for a postgraduate year. He is, first of all, a terrific kid and a polite and appreciative young man. He is also an All-State, "Super 26" selectee (one of just two wide receivers chosen) and a Division 1 recruit. Coaches from UMass, Penn State, and other schools have expressed interest. However, due to a slow start in high school, his overall gpa, combined w/ SAT scores, has him not yet eligible for an NCAA athletic scholarship. This is the reason for going the prep school route.
Milford is a one-semester, PG school located in New Berlin, NY (formerly located in Milford, CT). Its mission is to give student-athletes in Justin's situation needed academic work and SAT prep while playing perhaps the toughest "prep" schedule in the country (mostly against college-level programs). The program AVERAGES 15 Division 1 signings per year, while other players go D-2, D-3, or juco. And, they enter college for spring semester and in many cases participate in spring practice. I have done my research and am convinced that this is a tremendous opportunity for this fine young man.
Justin has been granted financial aid but still must come up with $15, 565. He lives with his grandmother, who has limited financial means. He has overcome incredible adversity in his life, and I don't want to see him "fall through the cracks." This young man has NEVER failed to thank me for anything I've done for him. He simply needs and deserves a break in life. I have made a commitment to raise the money so that Justin can take advantage of this opportunity. In two days I have $2565 committed, meaning I need to come up with $13,000. Much of this can be spread out over time.
I am, simply and humbly, asking for your help.
This is simply an opportunity to do a very kind thing for a wonderful young man. Thank you in advance. Justin and I will be forever grateful for your generosity.

Bob Lastowski,
Football Coach, Holyoke High
