Help Harley Get Leg Surgery

Hi, meet Harley, my 3 year old rottweiler who is the sweetest and most lovable cuddle bug you'll meet, just look at this sweet face!

When she was only 18 months old, the ligament in her right leg ruptured and her meniscus was completely worn away and she needed to get the TPLO surgery, where they put a metal plate in her leg to hold the bones together properly. This surgery costed me $7,000 and was thankfully successful in fixing her right leg.

However, a couple weeks ago, Harley started limping a lot again but on her left leg this time! I took her in for x-rays and bloodwork (another expensive fee) and unfortunately, the ligament in her left leg has now ruptured as well and she needs another TPLO surgery, which will cost another $7,000! Not only did they find the torn ligament, but she also has mild hip dysplasia, and her right hip is worse than her left. And as her left leg needs the surgery, she is putting all her pressure on her right side which will end up making her hip worse! Which is another reason why she needs this surgery as soon as possible.

Harley is a very active dog, she loves to go on walks and runs, play fetch and play with her dad and brother and since she has started limping, she is unable to do any of those things and is starting to become depressed. It's important she gets this surgery, because otherwise, she will develop severe arthritis and hip dysplasia and her bones will not shift properly, she will not be able to walk, run, play or do any of the things she loves and she is only 3 years old, she has so much life to live!

I can see her starting to act depressed because she has the energy but doesn't understand why she can't do activities with her dad and brother anymore and I want her to go back to her happy and active self :( Even after she gets this surgery, it is a 3 month healing process where she won't be able to walk much or run, so she's not going to be her normal self for a while. We all miss playing with her!

I'm only 22 years old and I pay for all of Harley's needs myself as well as her dad, Tyson, and $7,000 is a lot of money for me, especially since she's already needed this surgery on her other leg, so that's $14,000 in surgeries alone. I know having dogs is a big responsibility and expense, however, I never expected Harley to need 2 major surgeries by the time she's only 3 years old. But I will do whatever I have to do, to make sure she gets the help she needs. Anything you can donate or even sharing this page would help us so much and is greatly appreciated.
