Here's my birthday wish...for my dear friends Carmen and Victor.
We have already raised $2250 ( thank you to Varvara, Jennifer, David, Heather, Sat Kirtan, Julie, Deb, Rochelle, Ana, Sharon, Libby, Jennifer, Vanessa, Larry & Grazyna, Maya, Zoe and Micah, Eric and Lisa, Amber and Sharon, Joel and Kim, Lindsey and Peter, and Damien and Hannah!)
This has been set up to help extend the reach!
Dear ones, we love you to the moon and back!! You epitomize what it means to be loving parents to us! My birthday wish is to help these dear friends, along with their 3 lovely (grand)children, whom they have adopted as their children — all attending elementary school with our daughter. Carmen is currently going through chemo for Clear Cell Carcinoma, and Victor will be in remission from stage 4 throat cancer in two more years. Not only are they parents for the second time around, but they also financially support two of their grown children who face ongoing chemical dependency issues. This has not stopped them from giving back to our community. They both regularly participate in community events, field trips, and volunteer at elementary. If you would like to make my birthday extra-specially amazing, I'm asking for a contribution to help send Carmen and Victor to the Gerson Institute in Mexico, specializing in cancer treatment and recovery. It's my wish to help them take a long-overdue hiatus from giving so much of themselves in order to re-balance and get on a path to healing and recovery for many years to come.Please consider helping us raise as much as possible (we're shooting for $12,000) for their visit to the Gerson Institute.
