The Mighty Oak's Final Expenses
Donation protected
My father was the strongest man I have ever known. No matter what the family needed, no matter what it took he did his best to make it happen. Physically and mentally he was strong. He was not an immovable rock but more like an oak tree. His arms reached over us to protect us, his trunk was strong enough to lean on. He had had health issues for a number of years that would have stopped many people but not him. He was in a major car accident in October of 2017. He wasn't supposed to survive at several points during the 3 months in the VCU. He came out weaker but still going. We spent the better pat of the last year putting Humpty Dumpty back together. There were some cracks and holes we couldn't fill in. He had gotten to a point where pain and further debility were his life sentence. He chose hospice and went out peacefully on December 15th. He went to join my mother with same intention as he had lived, on his own terms. Life was a grand adventure for him, always the life of the party. Most days larger than life itself.
Unfortunately he passed away with no way to cover his final expenses. I have some small resources to turn to but they will not cover the entire cost. Any and all help is welcome.
