A lil help from my friends.

Hello to everyone reading this.

I  have multiple sclerosis, and have been pretty independent so far, but the time has come to admit to myself that in order to remain as independent as possible going forward .... I need a little help.

During lockdown life has been (as with everybody) pretty limited and small. Like you I have only been going to the shops or making necessary journeys. How many times have we had that drilled into us....Haha

Now that’s all coming to an end and the world is starting to open up a little,  I’ve realised that I will be remaining in a state of lockdown, so to speak, due to my limited mobility. I struggle to walk for more than 10 minutes and getting the bus is a bit of a nightmare. A mobility scooter would give me real independence so that I could drive into town to  meet friends, or to shop,  or do what I love the most, explore Dublin. I think having the scooter would open up so many possibilities for me, and would change my world.
The scooter in the picture can be transported really easily which is essential for me to get it into and out of my apartment block..  with its heavy coded doors.

Thank you so much for having a read and I really appreciate your support!
