My name is Samantha Thomas. I am from Jamaica but I live in the United States. I am not sure if you are aware of the monstrous category 5 hurricane that almost decimated the island of Jamaica about two weeks ago. The aftermath is catastrophic. People are in dire need.

I am here to raise funds to help the people of Jamaica and specifically some of my family members who have been adversely affected or ravished by Hurricane Melissa. Some folks are in dire need of food, clothing, and necessary supplies for every day use while others are in need of materials to rebuild their homes or replace the roof of their house or to replace belongings that they lost due to flooding or rain.

Every penny counts! No amount is too small. We need each one of you to help raise the spirits of the Jamaican people - to help them reclaim a little of their human dignity that has been ripped away.
