Hi my name is Prosbert. I am starting a GoFundMe for my elder sister Yvonne Tabi Etengeneng.
In March of 2024 (last month), our lives took an unexpected turn when, Yvonne, received the devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. Our world was instantly filled with fear, uncertainty, and countless questions about the future.
Yvonne is just 41 years old and as a full-time mother of 3 amazing kids, she fights to be with them for as long as possible.
A rapid diagnosis led to an urgent trip to India where she was found to have stage 4 triple-positive left breast cancer. Unfortunately, the tumor had grown and metastasized to her bones, making it unsafe to operate. She now faces many less promising treatment options, including radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy.
She has been in very positive spirits since her diagnosis because she is a fighter. However, battling cancer is not just a physical fight—it's a financial burden that weighs heavily on those affected. As medical bills piled up and treatment costs soared, our family found ourselves navigating uncharted waters, grappling with the daunting reality of mounting expenses.
Growing up together in our remote little town of Kumba, Yvonne and I played together everyday. She made sure no one bullied me when we were in Elementary school. After her diagnosis, lots of these childhood memories came to my mind that made me shed tears and also laughed a little bit. She is my big sister and I am in this fight with her. But we just cannot do it alone.
That's where you come in. With your generosity and compassion, we hope to alleviate some of the financial strain and provide Yvonne with the peace of mind she deserves as she continues her fight against breast cancer. Your support will help cover medical expenses, chemotherapy treatments, and other unforeseen costs, allowing her to focus on what truly matters—her health and her journey towards recovery.
Yvonne lives with here 3 children in Buea (Cameroon), but she is currently in India receiving treatment. Please help Yvonne is her fight by donating and sharing the link to this fundraiser to as many people as possible. If you have any questions about this campaign, please get in touch with me or Gisele Arrey (my wife).
Thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your support. Together, we can make miracles happen. Keep praying for my family.
Many have reached out to us asking for other ways of giving. Please get in touch with me for Zelle, Cash app, or Venmo if these work best.
