Hi I am Diane Kastama I have been paralyzed for 27 years and love the sport of carriage driving.  I have been Selected to the Nominated Entry for the Team to compete once again for the United States as part of a 3 person team at the 2018 FEI Para-Equestrian World Championships for single drivers to be held August 26-September 2, 2018 in Kronenberg, The Netherlands.  I am trying to raise money to ship my specially modified carriage to Europe this will cost $7000.  I am leasing a horse to help save on costs.   I am planning on competing my leased horse in Europe prior to the World Championships . Asking for people to donate money is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.  I appreciate everyone's support and hope to bring home the Gold!!!

I'm heading to Europe July 29th, and my Carriage is being dropped off at LAX on July 16th!!  I am so excited to further my driving skills and to bring back what I learn and share with others.

I have been competing in the sport of carriage driving for 21 years, I discovered the sport after a car accident left me paralyzed.  Horses allow me to compete on an equal basis with everyone else.  I share my skill and enjoyment of the sport with everyone who asks, as President of of United States Driving for the Disabled, I support all people no matter their challenges, in learning and trying the sport of carriage driving.
