Deneka’s battle with breast cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone, we are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our beloved Deneka, a dedicated full-time working mum of one beautiful 3yo daughter Letti, 2 step children, and wife to Allen. Life has taken an unexpected turn for her and her family recently, not even 12 months after her younger sister was also diagnosed with cancer and we are reaching out to our friends and family to support her during this challenging time.
Deneka was diagnosed just months after turning 40 with stage 3 breast cancer. As previously experienced by her family, the cancer treatment is not only gruelling physical and mentally but also financially costing over $30K after Medicare benefits. Deneka’s treatment, consisting of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery has begun however financially it is taking a toll. While this family should be saving to buy their own home they are faced with an impossible decision to use their savings and weekly wages on medical expenses while also trying to provide for their family.
Due to aggressive nature of the treatment Deneka endures a range of negative side effects both physically and mentally, at times being unable to work and care for her family. Even the menial of tasks can be challenging and at times not even possible. This unexpected journey will bring both financial and emotional burdens to the family.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the financial burdens on Deneka and her family. Your generous contributions will go towards medical expenses, and expenses relating to everyday household expenses, additional childcare, and other necessities during this challenging time.
No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a difference in supporting Deneka and her family. Your kindness and support will not only provide financial relief but will also serve as a source of strength and encouragement during her fight against breast cancer. Please consider sharing this campaign on social media and with your network. The power of community support cannot be overstated.
