Our beloved friend Nei, known to many as Nei Zigma, is a singer, songwriter, and a soulful presence in the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him. Through his music and his deep, intuitive work with people, Nei has helped hundreds heal their hearts — emotionally, spiritually, and through simple, human connection. Now, his own heart needs our help.
Nearly two years ago, Nei was diagnosed with a serious heart condition: severe aortic stenosis, moderate aortic insufficiency, and significant left ventricular hypertrophy. In simple terms, his heart has been under increasing strain — his aortic valve is dangerously narrowed, and blood is leaking back into the heart. He’s been living with this quietly and courageously, hoping for a less invasive solution.
After much thought, Nei made the difficult but wise decision to undergo open-heart surgery (traditional aortic valve replacement), the most durable and long-term option. The procedure is scheduled to take place in Helsinki in July.
We’re aiming to raise €10,000 to help Nei through this critical recovery period — covering essential needs such as:
- Airfare and temporary housing in Helsinki, near the hospital, for those stepping in to assist him post-surgery
- Out-of-hospital care and rehabilitation support
- Living expenses during his months of healing
Throughout his life, Nei has chosen to focus on what truly matters to him — creating honest, accessible music and offering support from the heart. He’s never sought financial gain for its own sake, which makes the choice to ask for help now a quiet but significant one.
