You may not know this face, but please take a moment to read.

A close family friend, James Picket, aka “Home James” is dealing with difficult health problems and needs our help. James ran a chauffeur business in Charlotte for years. While he was the trusted driver who took us to prom and concerts in high school, James was more like family. Before he started his own family James often spent Christmas dinners with us. He never drank or smoke but would share a glass of sparkling grape juice with me when I wanted to be like the adults at dinner.

 An inclusive, caring nature personifies James. He's always been a man for others at work and at home. Unfortunately his ability to care for others and himself was recently challenged. Last month James suffered multiple strokes and complications from severe diabetes that resulted in having his left leg removed.  As you might imagine it's been a tough summer for our friend. James is in bad shape and quite frankly I’m not sure if he will be able to work again. 

We've started a go fund me page to ease the burden of this struggle. Anything you contribute is greatly appreciated and means a lot to me and most importantly, James.
