Mat’s Recovery

Hello ... For those of you who don’t know me my name is Laura Gilchrist..Myself and Brent have decided to start a GO FUND ME PAGE for my cousin and one of Brent’s best mates Mathew McIlwaine,his wife Lori-Anne and 2 kids Molli -rose and Kayden As some of you are aware unfortunately Mat was in a terribly accident last Monday night 3rd December.Mat went to do a job for a aquantiance after finishing his day job.Mat was working and working very safely as he always does but due to it being a very old house unfortunately the garage door gave way and along with hundreds of kilos of bricks Mat fell and was trapped under it all until the paramedics arrived,they then took him straight to Royal Melbourne Hospital (Trauma Unit )...Mat has quite a lot of injuries including A broken arm which he has recently had surgery on and had a metal plate put in it .He has 3 broken bones in his foot which Mat will be returning to hospital this week to have surgery on and plates put in .He also has 6 broken ribs Mat is now home but unfortunately he is confined to a wheelchair as he cannot walk due to his arm and foot being broken.Unfortunately due to this happening out of work Mat is not covered by Workcover.The surgeons have told Mat that he will be out of action for at least 6 months, during this time there will be a lot of expenses for the family including *Lawyer & Solicitor fees*Medication costs*Home help*Physio & Rehabilitation Plus more This accident will also put a lot more pressure on Mat’s wife Lori-Anne and there 2 young kids Molli-rose and Kayden .So let’s all pull together and support this amazing family who I know is very loved and thought of very highly by many ...Mat has always gone beyond and above for everyone he knows and as myself being his cousin and Brent being one of his best mates since they wore young boys we can both say that Mat is extremely KIND,LOVING & CARING and he would help anyone in need .So we kindly ask if you would be kind enough to donate to this fund ,even if it is only a small amount it will all help Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this post and donating .If you have any questions please feel free to contact myself Laura through Facebook ..Please also feel free to SHARE this page Let’s help this beautiful family together THANKYOU
