Renee’s Miracle

If you know Renee, you love her! She just has that quality!!! She’s the person that’s always there for others and she makes it look so easy. She has a heart of gold, a smile that lights up any room, a laugh that is contagious, boundless energy and a love of life that is unmatched! She brings Fun to every situation! She gives awesome hugs! She’s a wonderful daughter, mother to her mini me, Dylan, friend and so much more! Now she needs every one of us praying and fighting alongside her.
On October 12, Renee went in for a routine gall bladder surgery. During the surgery some ‘lesions’ were discovered on her liver. Biopsies were taken and were rare enough that they had to be sent to the Mayo Clinic for answers. The answer is not what anyone wanted to hear. Cancer!
Renee has been through 2 months of medical tests of every kind in an attempt to determine the origin of the cancer and the ‘type’ so she can begin the much needed treatment. As of yesterday, the latest test results still indicate an unknown origin but there is a spot in what appears to be the area connecting the small intestine and the pancreas. The news has been difficult at best and devastating at times but there have been glimmers of hope that we are all holding on to and praying God’s word and faithfulness over. Renee has deep faith and trusts that God is in control of this situation as she always has in every aspect of her life. Renee will have a port inserted on December 12 and will begin chemo very soon. All of the medical procedures so far and the continuing medical treatment needed is overwhelming emotionally but also financially. My hope is that we can help ease the stress of the cost of her treatment so she can focus on healing. A positive mind helps with healing and we want Renee to have every advantage in the fight against this horrible disease!
