a program for medically fragile adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We are celebrating 22 years of providing a meaningful day for our amazing participants.

In the late 90s a group of parents of children who attended Gateway Education center

asked "What will we do after Gateway?". This idea grew and After Gateway opened in 2001 with just four participants. Twenty two years later we now serve over 50 individuals and their families providing not only Day Supports but Community Living Supports, Respite and Supported Living.

We are currently are housed in a wing of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. Unfortunately the church is being sold and we will have to find a new home. The cost of retrofitting a new facility to meet state regulations will be high. We are raising money to offset this cost and buy new equipment for our very special participants who otherwise may have no place to go and to continue to make each day for them a meaningful day.

If 4,545 individuals donate $1 for each year we have served this vulnerable population we will reach our goal. It's only a $22 donation but will greatly impact our participants. Of course we appreciate any amount you can give. Help us celebrate 22 years of service and keep After Gateway alive and thriving. We will celebrate together on Saturday October 7th in the Fellowship Hall of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Greensboro NC. Live music provided by Piedmont Blues Preservation Society musicians. Spirits available from Steel String Brewery. Food by Up In Smoke Catering. Games, raffle and auction. This is a free event.
