Hi friends and family. I am writing this with a heavy heart. The reason for my message is this...We took a much-needed trip for a week and came home to find our Corgi Luna had lost complete mobility in her back legs very abruptly, as well as an inability to urinate and a barrage of other symptoms consistent with IVDD. We rushed her to the emergency vet and we were left with the recommendation that she needs to see a neurosurgeon immediately for back/spinal surgery. We got her into UC Davis and have been given some hope that she will have a nearly full recovery but only with the surgery. In full transparency, we are in this about $15,000 so far. We are your average working family but by no means have this kind of money in the bank. I'm a desperate momma and have seen the miracles made to happen for other Corgi and dog parents that need some financial help. I have Venmo and have attached the GoFundMe I created. Ideally, we are looking for your support in sharing our story and any donation to our Luna girl you might be able to spare to get our girl the best care she needs without the worry of the cost. I realize not every dog lives a full life but if you met Luna, you'd fall in love with her personality and spunk. We are hopeful she will get her light back and this will help her in the ways she'll need. She'll need rehabilitation after as well to hopefully learn to walk again among supportive care and someone to likely be home often with her. Luna is an otherwise healthy 5-year-old female who is full of life, my soul dog, and best friend. Appreciate you reading this, sharing my post, and more if you are able.
