I’m very much an amateur runner who
has entered her first ULTRA marathon on the 11th April this year - madly choosing to run a 50km ultra race in hilly wales! I’m raising money to benefit Pancreatic Cancer UK after losing our friend Rachel to this terrible disease last year. She was an avid runner, and member of steeple chasers. Even when most poorly she was so positive and supportive. I should have tried to run more because I could, when she couldn’t - hopefully this will go some way to make up for that.
When you know someone impacted by cancer you tend to research it and I learned that Pancreatic cancer is not a rare cancer – one person dies from the disease every hour. This cancer is the fifth biggest cancer killer and sadly the survival rates is less than 5%, which is the worst survival outcome for any of the 21 most common cancers. Thank you for reading this- any donation will help make an impact! Thank you so much for any contribution to this cause.
Pancreatic cancer UK is supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground-breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight.
