Tamara Krieger’s Last Adventure
Donation protected
My phone rings. It's (as usual) Tamara.
"I need an adventure."
"Another one? You know, you're in the middle of a few."
She laughed. "What's one more?!"
Busy. On the move. A new project here. A new idea there. Tamara had a non-stop attitude that transcended into every ounce of her being. She, as one of our family friends described her was a "force to be reckoned with." That force translated into a big personality, a smile that filled the room, a mischievousness that had no end, and a fierce love for the people around her.
On October 4th two massive strokes, complicated with a condition in her brain we now know called Moyamoya disease, would make her recovery all but possible. On November 5th, Tamara started her last adventure into a beauty beyond imagination, the Peace she searched for her entire life, and people longing, teaming to hear her stories firsthand.
It's been a month since and as the dust begins to settle, unfortunately, grief comes in many forms. The bills of this complicated adventure have started to come in and have become overwhelming for her husband, Bill.
Tamara owned Cheese Louise, an adorable cheese and wine shop in Richland, WA, which also provided catering services, which meant she had a car she would use for transport and delivery. Being a business owner, her focus was on making her business run. Several weeks in the ICU, emergency costs, cremation services, and buttoning up the closing costs of the business, were never in "the plan."
Some of the costs have and will be covered by insurance, but there are many that are not. Bill is currently trying to navigate how to handle the $72,000 in bills laying out on his kitchen table.
We don't know what the final number will be, but I'm hoping that this amazing community of people who have experienced Tamara on any and many levels may be able to help ease the overwhelming task of taking care of her one last time.
Any and all donations will go to Bill to the costs of Tamara's last adventure that were not covered by insurance.
Thank you for being a part of Tamara's life. Thank you for being a customer and helping to make her dreams come true. Thank you for going on this adventure with her.
