I ‘m a U.S. Marine stationed in Okinawa, hours before my deployment I called my dad to let him know I was leaving, when my cousin went to pass him the phone they found him dead in his room. It’s been over a year since I’ve seen him and to see him dead Through a FaceTime was a nail to the head. I continued to push forward until i can finally make it home due to California having a travel ban  and Japan having back to back typhoons It took awhile. I finally have a flight home to receive the news that there’s not enough to fund the funeral. I know Funds are tight for everyone because of covid but anything will help. I just want nothing more than this one day to honor his life
