We have fallen into some hard times. I am asking for some help from my community due to finding out that my husband has cancer and we are waiting for the surgeons to be able to do the surgery for removal. He also needs surgery on his left hand and elbow due to nerve damage. He's not able to work, and I am not able to work due to my own health issues. We have tried to reach out to the resources here in our state, but there is no funding at this time. My husband is a veteran and they can't even help us. We have to go out into the community for assistance, and we have tried everything, but there are no funds for assistance here in Topeka, Kansas, or anywhere in Kansas.
